A collection of poetry curated and created by Dasia Carr and Thalia Sablon. STRUNG follows Arielle as she ventures from the memories of Black girlhood to the musings of womanhood.
The poems explore the way romantic tribulations create subconscious memories that become internalized in the early stages of Black girlhood. Relationships have the power to liberate us from the memories that are “destined” to condemn us.
These destined experiences of womanhood lead Arielle into two choices: survive the cycle or break it.
